Surprisingly amazing quality. The soup and sandwich we had was flavoursome, ham was just good for us as we don't like the very salty ones. Salad came with the sandwich was so fresh that I can feel the crunch of every bite. The owner told us they get the local produce grown from nearby St Just. Highly recommend if you are around the area.

Since our most recent endeavours ended terribly, we were nervous to try eating out again, but we found this local pub with a lunch menu that seemed to cater for all. A smile from the moment we stepped in, we felt warmly welcomed. The food was absolutely lovely and very clearly homemade (not a microwave dinner in sight!), most definitely the best pub lunch we’ve had in a while! The food arrived quickly (but not suspiciously quick) and it was clear there was effort in the presentation, and the staff seemed ever so happy to help. The ham was so soft and delicious and the chips were SO crispy and yet fluffy on the inside. We’ll be coming back here EVERY time we’re down this way!! Compliments to the chef and everyone involved! You’ve filled us perfectly in time for an afternoon snooze!

Turned up just as the kitchen was closing for lunch at 2pm but they did make us lunch which was lovely. Very nice old fashioned pub with welcoming staff. Christmas decorations were amazing. Great place to visit.

It was nice to return to the Trewellard Arms after three years. Excellent range of beers, great food, good value and hospitable hosts. The pub has character and a smugglers cellar. Highly recommended. We are coming back for Sunday Roast this weekend.

Food here was amazing. Good portions and taste. Cheese was fresh and good in quality from 3 cheese Plymouth. Squid was cooked perfectly and was soft, the accompanying sauce also great and the loaded fries had lots of pepper, cheese, spring onions and paprika as well as a good amount of steak. The man behind the bar was welcoming and kind. Helped with directions back to our camp as there was a road closure even though we didn't ask, really helpful. Service was quick. WiFi password was given when we asked.

Absolutely first class Cornish pub! Superb range of delicious local ales, all kept in tip top condition. Food is excellent, great specials board and normal menu ingredients all locally sourced and served by very friendly staff. Martin the owner is a great friendly guy and Christmas day was just lovely! ... in fact the whole pub was very well decorated with christmas decor everywhere! Doggy friendly and highly recommended!

We received a warm welcome, especially as we arrived a few minutes before lunch service ended. There's a good selection of lagers and bitters as you would expect in a free house. There's also a good selection of whiskeys to choose from. We were the only customers so hard to gage atmosphere but having visited in the past I know it is popular. Food was excellent and just what was need on a cold winters day.

Had a lovely meal at their Thursday Fish Night - my husband had the John Dory fish and I had Haddock, honestly the best fish and chips we’ve have had in a long time. If you’re in the area and looking for a traditional Cornish pub, we would highly recommend. A good selection of beers and great service.
